Water and Sewer Utility Service
The Parks & Public Spaces Department is responsible for providing reliable and high quality water that protects public health and safety and complies with all federal, state and local regulations. The Water & Sewer Utility Division is responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of Village's water distribution system. The Division also focuses on preventative maintenance programs with the goal of reducing water leaks, water main breaks and fire hydrants out of service. View the 2018 Water Quality Report.
Activate Service
Fill out an Application for Utility Service and email the completed form along with required documents to water@balharbourfl.gov or drop off in-person at Village Hall.
Suspend Service
Fill out a Request to Close Utility Account Form and email the completed form to water@balharbourfl.gov or drop off in-person at Village Hall.
Water Meter Leak Check Request
Call 305.866.4633 or email water@balharbourfl.gov to request a water meter leak check to be performed. A representative will be sent to perform the leak check. No one has to be home for this leak check to be performed, however, all of the water must be off at the time the leak check is performed. Leak checks are usually performed within 2-3 business days after the request is received.
Water meter leak checks can also be requested from the My Bal Harbour mobile app. Download instructions for the Mobile App can be found here. Select “Submit Request” to request a water meter leak check.
Water Main Leaks or Breaks
Please advise the Parks and Public Spaces Department of water main breaks in your area immediately.
